An ideal apartment (vacancy.com blog scholarship entry)

I have done my share of apartment hunting in the past six years. I have lived in apartments that were not personally ideal for me; rude leasing agents, loud neighbors, and black mold growing in the bathtub. When I start graduate school, I want to be comfortable in my new surroundings, knowing that my rent money is going somewhere that I can trust.
I want to attend Claremont Graduate University next year. If I do not live with my aunt and uncle, I need to find an apartment that is close to the university and close to my relatives. The distance from Mountainside Apartment Homes at 9181 Foothill Blvd to Claremont Graduate University is seven miles. The distance from the apartments to my aunt and uncle’s house is ten miles. These are the perfect distances for me to travel.

Mountainside Apartment Homes is an ideal apartment complex because it has the amenities that I look for in an apartment. From the pictures, I conclude that it has attractive surroundings. The amenities list that it has a pool and a reasonable rent amount for a 2 bedroom 2 bath unit. I am from the Pacific Northwest and not used to Southern California summer temperatures, but Mountainside Apartment Homes has an air conditioning system; this is new to me since most apartment complexes in Washington state do not have air conditioning unless one wants to spend over $1000 a month for a one bedroom unit. Add an honest and reliable leasing and maintenance staff and these qualities add up to an ideal apartment community.
